Stream Summary

• Used this video to help setup GoogleSheets off stream last night, Bot can now read, add, edit, and delete entries from a spreadsheet! This is specifically for reading submission entries for the LudumDare game playtest streams, but I’m sure I’ll find other uses for it.
• For the last few months I’ve just suffered trying to read JSON files that have been squished in one line – why did no one tell me about indented JSON formatting spacey12Tasha
• Learned how to add a local NuGet package and how versions are important lol
• Read about Websockets
• Looked at the OG’s bot LED class – this was an unfinished project where chat & notifications could modify the light colors but ran into an issue where the library I used worked fine for strips, but was missing a value to work for bulbs. I did eventually get it fixed so I decided move that over to the new bot but still needs to be hooked up.
• We fixed a bug on the raid service, thanks to Boyfruit. If the raider did not have any videos to display instead of continuing with the logic to save the raider to a value to shoutout, it exited oops.
• Finally working on the LudumDare stuffs! Mulled around a bit trying to decide how I wanted to handle the logic of fetching and storing entries but finally got around to setting up the bot to pull the data from the spreadsheet and adding the entries to dictionaries based on if they’ve been played already or not.

Thanks to the suggestion of TheBookSnail, we sent the koimmunity over to hang out with Woahh_Jess! Her channel has a focus on strategy/simulation/management game, so Free Lives‘ game that recently dropped, Terra Nil, was absolutely up her alley! Its a city builder game with a focus on ecosystem restoration.
